2025 FALL Ozark Chinquapin Chestnut Tree Local Pickup
Tree height is estimated between two to three feet tall. You can pick up your trees in Omaha, AR. We are off highway 65 and just minutes from Top of the Rock and Big Cedar Resort.
The seeds were collected off our Ozark Chinquapin Chestnut trees we directed seeded into the ground in 2018. The pollinating parent could be have been from one of our culinary trees, which would provide additional blight resistance. This should make an excellent wildlife tree and produce chestnuts in a short time.
Our trees are grown from seed each spring in 3-gallon air pruning pots. This method promotes better root growth, leading to faster growth, less transplant shock, and eliminates root circling seen in typical retail pots. We prioritize quality over quantity.
Why choose us over other growers with in-stock trees in the Spring?
Our potted trees at the end of the growing season will be more developed than any bare root trees planted in the spring by competitors.
Many customers who plant in spring get busy during Summer and forget to water, leading to dead trees and frustration.
Fall planting is better because the trees are dormant and need less care. The cooler weather and additional rainfall reduce stress on the trees as they settle in.
We also provide customer support after your purchase. With nearly 25 years in the Retail Tech industry, this is my chance to follow a lifelong dream of farming.
Note: You need two trees for pollination to produce chestnuts.
