Ozark Chinquapin Chestnut Tree
A 50% deposit ($20 per tree) is required at the time of purchase, with the remaining balance due when you pick up your trees in the fall.
Trees are estimated to be 2–3 feet tall at pickup. Pickup is available in Omaha, Arkansas, conveniently located just off Highway 65 and only minutes from Top of the Rock and Big Cedar Lodge.
These trees are grown from seed collected directly from our own Ozark Chinquapin mother trees, which were direct-seeded on our land in 2018. Every tree we sell starts right here.
Each spring, we grow our trees from seed in 3-gallon air-pruning pots. This growing method encourages strong, healthy root systems, resulting in faster establishment, less transplant shock, and no root circling common in standard retail pots. We focus on quality over quantity, always.
Why fall planting and why choose us?
Our potted trees at the end of the growing season are more developed than bare-root trees planted by many growers in the spring.
Spring planting often means higher risk, busy schedules, missed watering during summer heat, and ultimately lost trees. Fall planting allows trees to go into the ground while dormant, requiring less care and experiencing less stress. Cooler temperatures and seasonal rainfall give them the best chance to establish strong roots before spring growth begins.
We also stand behind our trees. With nearly 25 years of experience in customer service, supporting you after the sale matters to us. This farm represents a lifelong dream, and we care deeply about seeing these trees—and your investment—thrive.
Important note:
Chestnut trees require two trees for proper pollination in order to produce nuts.
